Independent label: XX Records was a label dedicated to the
Blues, run by Robin Gosden. XX issued more than a dozen six-track EPs in
1971-72, some of which featured more than one artist. Numbering was in the
MIN-700s, starting at 700, and distribution was by Swift, of Bexhill-on-Sea, a
record importer and distributor of which Gosden was co-director. In
partnership with Bruce Bastin he made other ventures into licensing and
releasing material into the CD era, on labels such as
