WRECKORD
RECORDS
Wreckords Records was a DIY label. from Oakwood, in Kent,
Wreckords Records issued at least four singles, three were by The Record
Players, who owned the label. Its period of operation appears to have been
limited to 1979 to 1985. The first EP, 'Double C Side' (WRECK-1 /
AERE-1104) was made through Aerco, of Woking and had an Aerco label. the
Wreckord company was credited only on the sleeve. Music Master doesn't
give a source for the second EP, '60-7 Inches' (WRECK-002; 1979). Two
years later came a single, 'Money Worries' b/w 'Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right'
(WEK-3003; 5/81), which had a completely different label design. There were
rumours about a Record Players LP on the label, but they seem to be unfounded.
