Wasps Records was a DIY label. It managed one singles. It seems to have issued only one single, 'Johanne Of The Zuyder Zee Far Canal (Far Canal)', by Prog Rock group Patchwork (WSP-1; 1978), so presumably it was owned by that band. Patchwork had an album, 'Unlucky For Some', out on Canon Records at about the same time; album and single seem to be equally collectable. Distributed By Wasps Records. Patchwork was a Cefn Mawr near Wrexham, north Wales pop band (1975-79), feat; Gary Hughes, Ken Matthews, Graham Roberts, Chris Wright (drms) (later of Baby Blue, Comfy Chairs).
