Independent label: Vega Records appears to have been a small independent label dedicated to Strict Tempo dance music. All the records were EPs and all were by The Stan Holdsworth Sound; it seems like a good bet that Stan Holdsworth was the man behind Vega. Numbering was in the VEGA-100s, and the highest number that I have so far managed to trace was VEGA-107, an EP containing 'Anniversary Waltz' and three other tracks. The label of that record was of the same design as the second example shown. There were no dates on the labels, but Lyntone pressed the records their matrix numbers enable us to put a date to them. VEGA-105, 'Match Stalk Men & Match Stalk Cats And Dogs', has a matrix number of LYN-5461, which indicates that it came out in 1978. VEGA-106 (LYN-6892), 'Taking A Chance On Love', was issued in 1979.
