TRIAL
RECORDS
Independent
label: Trial Records was owned by Steve Guy-Clark. Trial
operated from 1979 to 1984, during which period it issued at least eight
singles. Numbering was in a CASE-0 series; an initial yellow label had
been replaced by a less bright but more decorative blue-and-silver design by the
time CASE-4 came out. The first three Trial singles were by Suffolk NWOBHM
band Trespass, whose 'One Of These Days' b/w 'Bloody Moon' (CASE-1; 12/79).
Distributed By Trial Records. Trespass are a heavy metal band from Suffolk,
England. They were part of the new wave of British heavy metal at the beginning
of the 1980s. The band reformed in 2015. Initially the band consisted of
brothers Mark Sutcliffe (voice and guitar) and Paul Sutcliffe (drums), Dave
Crawte (guitar), and Richard Penny (bass). Later they replaced Richard Penny
with Cris Linscott and added vocalist Steve "Sleeve" Mills, all under 21 at the
time. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
