THUNDER
RECORDS
Independent American label: Thunder Records derived from Ral
Donner's Mid-Eagle Records. Thunder's only British release was Donner's
own tribute to Elvis Presley, 'The Day The Beat Stopped'; its catalogue number,
TD-7801, was the same as that of the eqivalent American single. The
telephone number on the label, RUDGEWICK 2829, was that of independent
Rockabilly reissue label Spade Records, which suggests that Spade licensed the
single and released it over here. The single was pressed in clear vinyl by
Orlake, and marketing was by Plastic Fantastic. Distribution was by H. R.
Taylor. Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
