THE COLORADO BEETLES
RECORDS
The Colorado Beetles Records only release was the one shown,
'Potatoes' by The Colorado Beetles (EMI-2998; 10/79); the song was a spoof of
the Beatles' style, and, as can be seen, the design a spoof of their Apple
label. The single was recorded as a joke by Oz Falquero and Brian Wade,
but EMI picked it up - as, apparently, did the British Potato Marketing
Board. The catalogue number belongs to EMI's main EMI-2000 series, and
doubtless the single is referred to as being on EMI everywhere else but
here. Distributed By EMI Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The
Info.
