Independent label: Spiral Records is the second Spiral label to appear in the '70s. This version came on the scene in 1976, issued at least thirteen singles in an SPF-7000 series, and lasted into 1978. Its products seem to have been fairly middle-of-the-road Pop; indeed, its first release was by comedians Mike & Bernie Winters ('Mums And Dads'; SPF-7000). Despite the fact that Arthur Lowe, of 'Dad's Army' fame, made two singles for the label ('Makin' Whoopee', SPF-7001; and 'Sonny Boy', SPF-7013), it never troubled the Chart compilers. Harold Spiro is credited as one of the producers on the single pictured above; was the label his? Spiro / Spiral; it sounds plausible.
