Independent label: Soul Sounds Records was an early Northern Soul label. Soul Sounds was run by Jeff King; it came and went during 1970 and issued around thirty singles, in small pressings. Material seems to have been sourced from several American labels. And is widely reported as having been issued unofficially. Despite their bootleg status the singles have become collectable in their own right. Catalogue numbers were in an SS-1000 series, and the label came in various colours including white, red and yellow. Distributed By Soul Sounds Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
