SOFERNO B
RECORDS
Independent Reggae label: Soferno B Records was owned by
Brixton disc jockey Soferno B. - or, as the label has it, His Lordship Soferno
B. The only 7" single on the label seems to have been 'No Money', by I
Roy, which came out in 1975 and had the catalogue number SOF-001. In 1979
the label was relaunched, with a new design, but in its new form it seems to
have only issued 12". Soferno B AKA Soprano B were a late 70's Sound System from
London. They had a Thursday and Sunday night residency at the Bali Hai club in
Streatham circa 1979/1980. They also ran the Soferno B record label and released
a handful of discomix 12 inch releases in the late 70's and early 80's. Soferno
