Independent label: Six Pack Records products were all picture discs, and the fact that they came in a stand-up sleeve suggests that they were intended to be looked-at as much as played. There were at least four of them, and as the label's name suggests, they were six-track EPs. The artists featured were Captain Beefheart, Steve Hillage, Ian Matthews and Arthur Brown. Presumably the material was licensed from the appropriate companies; the tracks vary in age, which makes dating the Six Pack releases somewhat dubious, but 1979 seems to be the most popular estimate.
