Independent label: Silver Spotlight Records was a label used sporadically by United Artists for reissues. The Silver Spotlight Series was used far more often in the USA; it seems to have first seen the light of day there in 1972. It didn't appear in the UK until 1976, when three EPs in the second batch of United Artists' 'Remember' series and several singles were given the trademark black label with the American car on it. There was no reference to 'Silver Spotlight Series' either on the picture sleeves or the labels. Then in June 1979 Eddie Cochran's 'C'mon Everybody single (UP-603) came out with a 'Silver Spotlight' type label, this time with the words 'Silver Spotlight Series' on it and with a dedicated series sleeve. The colours on the car were slightly different this time around. In September of that year a block of old Rock 'n' Roll singles was issued with that label design; they can be found with either picture sleeves or the series's sleeve.
