SIDEWALK
RECORDS
Sidewalk Records was an EMI imprint label specially created for
promotion of new disco and dance acts signed by EMI UK (although not all acts
signed were actually from UK). The label existed only one year, exactly between
January 1979 to January 1980 before EMI decided to drop it. During the course of
its existence it scored two hits in the Singles Chart. Gonzalez's,
'Haven't Stopped Dancin' Yet' (SID-102) got into the Top 20, but David
Bendeth's, 'Feel The Real' (SID-113) could only just make it to No.44.
Several of the singles were available in 12" form. Distributed By EMI
Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
