Shy Talk Records was a one-off label, made through Acorn Recording Studios. Shy Talk's only release was a maxi-single by a band called Gypp Accompanied By – Yaa-Rettes. Recorded on Octopus mobile, it featured the tracks 'Marigoldz', 'Titania' and 'Sister Darling', and it came out in 1978. Its catalogue number, CF-283, was borrowed from the main Acorn series, and the label was an Acorn one, with 'SHY TALK RECORDS' at the bottom. I'm left wondering whether 'Shy Talk' was a play on the Irish expression 'Shitehawk' - I wouldn't bet against it. Distributed By Acorn Records.
