Scratchy Records was a short-lived singles-orientated arm of Chrysalis
Records. It was to be a joint venture between Chrysalis, John Gaydon and
producer Alan Seifert. Chrysalis was to be responsible for marketing and
distribution; it had an agreement with Island for the latter. In the
event, Scratchy seems to have managed just four singles and one album, all of
which appeared in 1974. They were all products of G.O. Record Productions,
of Wimpole Street, London. The catalogue numbers numbers were taken from
the main Chrysalis numerical series, and manufacture was by EMI. Thanks to
