ROMAN
RECORDS
Roman
Records was a DIY label. Operating out of premises in Church Street
Mews, Leominster. An EP entitled 'The Writer', by singer-songwriter Benon
Holland, came out on Roman Records in 1975 and appears to have been the label's
only release. Its catalogue number was BRH-1, which suggests that Holland
owned the label, and it contained the tracks 'Boots' and 'Mirror' in addition to
the two named on the scan. The tracks were recorded in Herefordshire, and
according to the notes on the sleeve were intended merely as demos; they saw the
light of day on the EP only as a result of public demand. Distributed By
Roman Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
