was the label of Belfast Punk band Stiff Little Fingers. Gordon
Ogilvie And Colin Mcclelland, Initially Based At Mcclelland'S Home At 12 Sharman
Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland. After the first single, 'Suspect Device'
(SRD-1; 3/78) the band signed to independent company Rough Trade. A few
singles appeared on a combined Rigid Digits / Rough Trade label before Stiff
Little Fingers signed to Chrysalis Records and Rigid Digits was shelved.
It enjoyed a brief renaissance in 1985-87, however, when Jake Burns & the
Big Wheel added a further two singles. Orignal pressings of 'Suspect
Device' are reported to have red labels, with white and yellow-labelled singles
being re-pressings. Stiff Little Fingers are a punk rock band from Belfast,
Northern Ireland. They formed in 1977, at the height of the Troubles. They
started out as a schoolboy band called Highway Star (named after the Deep Purple
song), doing rock covers, Stiff Little Fingers Line-up, Jake Burns, vocals and
guitar, Henry Cluney, guitar, Ali McMordie, bass, and Brian Faloon, drums Thanks
