REDGOLD
RECORDS
Independent label: Redgold Records started off as a
Contemporary Jazz label, in 1978, under jazzman Tony Haynes. It became a
vehicle for occasional LPs and CDs by the Jazz / World Music ensemble the Grand
Union Orchestra, and it continues to function in that capacity today. Its
7" output must been very limited: a Redbrass EP featuring 'How The Wind Blows'
and two other tracks (RGR-101; 1978) is the only one I have ever seen on the
label. Distributed By Redgold Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The
Info.
