RAZZ
RECORDS
Independent label: Razz Records owned by Chris Sievey aka Frank
Sidebottom, of Manchester Punk band The Freshies. Most of Razz's releases
were by that band, or by its individual members. Some nine singles / EPs
were issued during 1979 to 1980, starting with The Freshies', 'Washed Up' EP
(RAZZ EP-1; 1978). Two of their other EPs, 'Straight In At No. 2' (RAZZ
EP-2) and 'Men From Banana Island' (RAZZ EP-3) came out in 1979; the rest were
from 1980. Singles were numbered in the RAZZ-0s; EPs generally had an 'EP'
between the prefix and the number. Eventually the Freshies were
signed by MCA. Razz Records Former Address: 20 Cotton Lane Withington,
Manchester M20. Distributed By Pinnacle Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For
The Info.
