PROPHETS
RECORDS
Independent Reggae label: Prophets Records was run by
Vivian Jackson. Prophets did most of its business in Jamaica, but at least
two of its singles were issued in Britain, both of them in 1976. The
records in question were Trinity's 'River To The Bank' (PHT-236) and 'Sipping I
And I Chalice' by Vivian Jackson & The Prophets (PHT-237). The Trinity
single was pressed by Orlake. The PHT numbers presumably bore some
relation to the parent label's Jamaican numerical system. Distributed By TS
Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
