PLAYERS
RECORDS
Independent label: Players Records was a A little-known
label from 1971 to 1976. I have only happened upon references to one album
and three singles on the Players label: Brian McCann with 'Someone'
(PR-1898) and Bracken with 'You're 21' (PR-2525) provided two of the singles, in
1975, while Patsy Peters added 'James Town Ferry' (PR-2528), which was a Country
& Western song, the following year. Ms. Peters was also responsible
for the LP, which was called 'Time Alone With Patsy Peters' (PR-128). The
gaps in the catalogue numbers require explaining. Orlake pressed the
Patsy Peters single. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
