PIPELINE PRODUCT
RECORDS
Pipeline Product Records was a DIY label. It issued at
least one single, Basczax's, 'Madison Fallout' (ICI-1) in 1979. The band
was based in Cleveland, and was pronounced 'bahss-axe'. The 'A' side label
was blank white with a black quarter, and the 'B' just blank white, but the
record did however come with picture inserts, which listed an address in
Northallerton. Basczax were a British post-punk band that was formed in Redcar
in August 1978. The band was formed by Mick Todd (bass), who recorded a demo of
"Karleearn Photography", which convinced Jeff Fogarty (saxophone) and Alan
Savage (guitar, vocals) to join. The line-up was completed for early
performances by Nigel Trenchard (keyboards) and Cog (drums), but these were soon
replaced by former Blitzkrieg Bop members John Hodgson (keyboards) and Alan
Cornforth (drums). Distributed By Pipeline Product Records. Thanks to
Robert Lyons For The Info.
