PEAR
RECORDS
Pear Records was a DIY label. It managed one single.
A three-track EP, 'Song For J.', by Border, the date on the label says
1978. The music on it is fairly straight-forward Rock-Pop, with a guitar
instrumental on the 'B'-side. At that time Punk was still Flavour of the
Month with the record companies, which may explain why this EP appears to have
been privately pressed. Distributed By Pear Records. Border was from Cleveland,
North Yorkshire formed in 77 was a Pub Rock Band Line up: Terry Smith (voc/gtr)
Dave Smith (bass) Stephen Doneathy (drms). Thanks to Robert Lyons For The
Info.
