Independent label: Pan Audio Records was a Scottish label, based in Edinburgh. Pan Audio seems to have concentrated on traditional Scottish material. It began operations in or around 1974 and continued to issue records into the 1980s. Most of its products seem to have been albums. LPs and singles alike appear to have shared a common '000' numerical series, with albums having a 'PA' prefix and singles an 'SPA' one. Pan Audio is most often encountered in the form of records by well-known Folk band The Corries; it handled that band's 'Dara' label, which shared the (S)PA numbers. Distributed By CML Records. The Corries were a Scottish folk group that emerged from the Scottish folk revival of the early 1960s.
