PACIFIC
RECORDS
Independent Reggae label: Pacific Records was owned by
Robby Day. This Pacific seems to have issued just four singles, in the
period 1976-77. According to the labels of the examples shown,
marketing and distribution were by Dover Records. Pressing was by
Phonodisc for the first three singles; the fourth was pressed elsewhere and had
a paper label which kept the same design, with its enclosing
grid. Distributed By Dover Records. Ken Boothe (born 22 March 1948) born in
Denham Town, Kingston is a Jamaican vocalist known for his distinctive vibrato
and timbre. Boothe achieved an international reputation as one of Jamaica's
finest vocalists through a series of crossover hits that appealed to both reggae
fans and mainstream audiences. Boothe was awarded the Order of Distinction for
his contribution to Jamaican music by the Jamaican government in 2003. Thanks to
