Notch Records was a DIY label. It managed one single. By Uptown Traffic, 'Thinking' b/w 'That's The Way'. Its catalogue number, YRS-120, indicates that it was made through Yarmouth Sound Recordings, of Scratby, and the label had the same plain, functional layout as that of the Yarmouth Sound Recordings label.  There was no date on the single but comparison with other Yarmouth records suggests that 1975 would be a reasonable guess. Distributed By Notch Records. Uptown Traffic are a 60's and 70's rock and soul band based in Newbury, Berkshire. line up is Martin Dixon vocals/percussion/harmonica/occasional rhythm guitar), Jed Waters (bass), Ken Saunders (trumpet), Richard New (tenor sax), John Skates (trumpet, drums and backing vocals), Kev Dyson (guitar/synthesizers/vocals), Keith Guster (drums and backing vocals).
