NOMAD
RECORDS
Nomad Records was a DIY label. It managed one single.
Damon's, 'Can I Wish You A Merry Christmas', the Damon concerned was Damon
Metrebian. A pleasant, Pop-flavoured song, it was reissued on Polydor
(2058-815) the following year, though the artist's name was extended to Damon
Metro for that release. The narrow dinking perforations and the style of
the matrix number suggesnt an EMI pressing. Nomad Records was Damon
own label (Damon spelled backwards). The records was pressed, in Wembley
(London). They were all sold at 50p through his dad's shops (a non
music outlet). He wanted the label to look as professional as possible and
it appears to have worked. After a brief period signed to Polydor, he
eventually went on to become a recording studio owner and had a bit if success
doing that. Distributed By Nomad Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons
