MICKEY FINN
RECORDS
Independent label: Mickey Finn Records managed at least one
singles. In 1975 the single shown, 'Scallywag' by Scallywag was issued on a
plain yellow label which was devoid of label name, songwriter credits, and
publishing details. The label has been named 'Mickey Finn', after the
producer of the record; the reason being that his initials make up the
prefix of the catalogue number, MF-111. The 'A' side of the single has Glam
overtones, while the 'B', a version of the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young song
'Teach Your Children. A single numbered MF-112 on an equally anonymous
label can be found under 'Osprey'; it seems like a good bet that the two were
connected. Are there any more MF-100s out there?. Distributed By Mickey
Finn Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
