MC
RECORDS

Independent American label: MC Records was a short-lived Country & Western label from the Motown stable, started up by Mike Curb and Berry Gordy. It inherited several artists from Motown's recently-deceased Melodyland / Hitsville label, but was no more successful with them than that company had been.  The two MC singles which came out in Britain were numbered in an MC-7000 series and were pressed and distributed by EMI, through its Licensed Recording Division; they are rarely met-with today.  After the first single came out the catalogue number and publishing details on the label swapped places for some reason. Distributed By EMI Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
