MAYFAIR
RECORDS
Mayfair Records was a DIY label. This is the first of two Mayfair labels of the 1970s. The 'Mayfair'
at the top of the label of the EP shown may actually be the name of
the EP rather than of the label, but it serves as an identifier so I've decided
to go with it. That record, by the band Mayfair, seems to have been
the only release by them and their label. It featured 'Silver Threads And
Golden Needles', 'The Show Must Go On' and 'Don't Cry For Me
Argentina'. The titles suggest standard Club / Cabaret fare, and the
catalogue number, TD-7225, belongs to a series that was used by Craighall
Studios. Of Edinburgh. The label has a typically Craighall
appearance. See also 'TD (Craighall Studios)', 'Ca Va', 'Road', and
'Phoenix Promotions'. Distributed By Mayfair
Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
