Linear Records was a DIY label from the late 1970s. It released just the one single, 'White Night', by Alternative Punk band The Lines (SJP-782; 1978). The catalogue number was proper to Fair Deal studio, a custom recording company from Hayes, rather than the label; other records with that prefix can be found on Stuart Johnson Productions and Clubland Records. The matrix number, LYN-5225, shows that the single was pressed by Lyntone. 'White Night' proved popular enough to be reissued by Illegal Records.
