JDT AUDIO
RECORDS
Independent label: JDT
Audio Records was a custom recording concern from Cardiff, and
apparently a fairly small one. If its catalogue numbers are anything to go
by, JDT Audio issued at least fifteen records in the period from 1978 to 1980,
numbering 7" and 12" records in the same JD-0 series. The few JTD records
have been by Welsh artists such as the Aber Valley Male Voice Choir (JDT-3;
1978), the Port Talbot Cymric Glee Male Choir (JDT-9), and singer Diane Cousins,
who had a couple of albums on the label, 'This Is Me' (JDT-11; 1979) and
'Images' (JDT-15). The majority of its products appear to have been LPs,
but it earned a place on this site my making at least one 7" EP: 'The Treharris
Male Choir Sings' (JDT-8). The sleeve of that EP gives the company's
address as 31, Lomond Crescent, Cardiff. Distributed By JDT Audio Records.
