JD Records was a DIY label. It it gained its name JD from the initials of Scottish singer Johnny Duffy, who put out an EP called 'Johnny Duffy Sings', featuring 'Love Is All' and three other tracks, in 1973. The catalogue number of the EP was JD-101, and the tracks were recorded in Craighall Studios, Edinburgh. Duffy went on to make an album for Nevis Records, 'Live From London' (NEV LP-110)..
