Independent Reggae label: Jamaica Sound Records was run by Webster Shrowder and was associated with Valdene Productions. Catalogue numbers suggest that Jamaica Sound issued at least sixteen 7" singles, in a JS-900 series, during the period 1977-1979, but several of the numbers seem not to have been used. From 1979 into the early '80s it appres to have concentrated on 12" singles. It had a sister-label, Cancer Records, and distribution of some items at least was apparently by CBS.
