HOTSOX
RECORDS
Independent label: Hotsox Records issued at least four singles,
'For The Good Of The World', by Chas & Carol Maxwell (HS-101; 11/79), Ian
Daviz's 'On Broadway' (HS-102; 1980), and two by Eddie Collins. Three
different numerical series were used, which seems excessive for four records:
HS-001, HS-100, and HS-200. the style of the matrix number on the run-off
indicates a Decca pressing. Eddie Collins's 'Hurt' (HS-202; 1980) had a
different kind of label: red with the company name in hollow shaded letters at
the top, with a line coming down from the 'X' to curl around the spindle
hole. the company was based in Hadfield, Derbyshire. Distributed By
Hotsox Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
