Heavy Records was a DIY label. It managed one single Corky Carroll's 'Skateboard Bill', which had a catalogue number of HE-101 and came out in 1978. Carroll was an American surfing champion; he has released several records in the USA, most notably a single called 'Tan Punks On Boards' (an 'answer' record to The Tubes' 'White Punks On Dope') for Mike Nesmith's 'Pacific Arts' label. 'Skateboard Bill' has been described as 'Californian Surf Rock'. The style of the matrix number on the run-off suggests a Decca pressing; marketing was by Criminal Records.
