GO AHEAD
RECORDS
Independent label: Go Ahead Records
was from the late '70s and certainly from the early '80s. 'Bass Drum
Man' (GA-101) by singer / entertainer Don Crown was the first release on Go
Ahead; according to him, it was issued in the '70s, so despite the fact that
there's no date on the label, I'd be inclined to place it in or around
1979. It was pressed by Phonogram. Catalogue numbers reached GA-113
in 1982. The company issued several instrumental LPs by Syd Dale, in a 'Love
Isn't Just For The Young' series, during the early '80s. Don Crown had his
own label, Busker Records. Distributed By Phonogram Records. Thanks to
Robert Lyons For The Info.
