Independent Reggae label: Eve Records was a a subsidiary
of Dip Records. Eve Records came in two paper varieties and an
injection-moulded one; it appears to have only issued a handful of singles, all
of which came out in 1976. Numbers were in the EV-000s. Horace Swaby
(21 June 1954 – 18 May 1999), known as Augustus Pablo, was a Jamaican roots
reggae and dub record producer, melodica player and keyboardist, active from the
1970s onwards. Augustus Pablo died as a result of a collapsed lung on 18 May
1999. He had been suffering for some time from the nerve disorder myasthenia
gravis. Max Romeo (born Maxwell Livingston Smith, 22 November 1947, St. D'Acre,
St. James, Jamaica is a reggae and roots reggae recording artist who has
achieved chart success in his home country and in the United Kingdom. Romeo had
several hits with the vocal group the Emotions. His album "Wet Dream" (1968)
included overtly sexual lyrics and launched a new style of reggae. Thanks to
