English Rose Records was a DIY label from 1979-80, owned by Mod band First Steps, from Bury St. Edmunds. English Rose issued three singles, two by First Steps, the third reportedly featuring some sort of poetry. The First Steps' singles, 'The Beat Is Back' (ER-1; 1979), and 'Anywhere Else But Here' (ER-lll 1980), had the same basic label design but came in different colours.
