ELEPHANT
RECORDS
Elephant Records was a DIY
label. And the second Elephant label of the '70s. A single featuring
'Forgotten Song and 'Troubadour' by Pete Kiely, who had been a guitarist with
Stonefield Tramp, the single was recorded in Quest studios, and it came out
in 1979 with a catalogue number of TUN-1. The labels, which were designed
by Ray Turner, deserve a mention: having the elephant's front on the 'A' side
and its rear end on the 'B' side was a nice touch. Stonefield Tramp had
their own label, 'Tramp'. Distributed By Elephant Records. Thanks to
Robert Lyons For The Info.
