ELECTRIC MUSIC COMPANY
RECORDS
Independent label: Electric Music Company
appears to have been connected to Scottish company S.M.D. Recordings, of
Paisley, which was better known for its Scotia and Moonbeam labels. It
managed one single, Mike Gill's self-penned Reggae-tinged instrumental
'Flossie Plinth', which came out in 1976. Its catalogue number, EMC-4002.
Mike Gill himself has kindly confirmed that there was just the one release. The
logo features a dragon, for some reason. The style of the matrix number in
the run-off indicates a Decca pressing. Distributed By Electric Music
CompanyRecords. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
