DIAL MUSIC
RECORDS
Dial Music Records was a DIY
label founded in 1976. but what line of business it was in is not clear -
it may perhaps have been primarily a music publisher. It did however
release at least one record, an EP by Diana Kirkwood, which featured the tracks
'Scarborough Fair', 'Plaisir D'Amour', 'I Believe I'm Gonna Love You', and
'Amazing Grace'. The EP came out in 1977 and it had a catalogue number of
DM-7710, which suggests that there should be other Dial Music records out
there. however, they may well not exist. According to the sleeve
Diana Kirkwood had sung a couple of the songs on the BBC's 'Pebble Mill At One'
programme, which would be a good reason to make them commercially
available. It seems like a reasonable guess that the 'D. Williams' who
produced the EP had a prominent role in the company,. Dial Music Records Former
