DEPTFORD FUN CITY
RECORDS
Deptford Fun City Records was An early Punk label
(1977-80), owned by Miles Copeland. Deptford Fun City Records was set up by
Copeland as an outlet for Deptford bands such as Alternative TV and Squeeze. Who
hit the charts repeatedly later on, after joining A&M - and the deliberately
anti-successful Alternative TV, among others. Singles appeared in a
DFC-00 series, and were distributed by Lightning; the A and B sides of the
picture labels showed different views of what I assume is Deptford. DFC-11
had its own particular label. The other labels in Copeland's 'Faulty
Products' group were Illegal and Step Forward. Thanks to Robert Lyons
