D. J. Records
was a DIY label. It managed one singles 'Say Goodbye' by Punk /
Rock band The Distrainers, who were based in Leicester. The recording was
made by custom recording concern Beck Studios, as the 'BECK' prefix of the
catalogue number indicates. Initially a Punk band, The Distrainers
soon moved into the NWOBHM field. They put down a further three
tracks in 1980, but those didn't see the light of day until 2006. The label
seems to have come in two colours, white and yellow. Distributed By D. J.
Records. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
