Curzon Sounds seems to have managed just three releases, all of them in 1978. First out of the blocks were an album and a single by singing duo Don Estelle & Windsor Davies. The pair had had a No.1 three years earlier, with 'Whispering Grass' (EMI-2290; 1975); 'Java Jive' (CSS-0072; 1978) failed to repeat that success. The album, 'Bless You For Being An Angel' was numbered CSL-0071. There was also a Various Artists LP featuring Don Estelle among others, 'Stars On Sunday By Request' (CSL-0081; 1978). Curzon Sounds was based at 17a Curzon Street, Mayfair, London. The company's records were distributed by Selecta. Estelle had his own label, 'Lofty', in the early '80s.
