Independent Reggae label, run by Philroy Matthias and David Tyrone.  Culture was one of the small group of labels associated with Venture Records. It appears to have issued just the two singles, both of them in 1978: Jah Son's 'Rasta Expression' (CUL-550) and a version of the George Gershwin standard 'Summer Time' by Tradition (CUL-556).  With their large central holes, the pressings had a rather Jamaican appearance. The gap between the catalogue numbers needs explaining, but it may just be one of those cases where Reggae labels could be rather haphazard about that sort of thing. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The Info.
