CREWE
RECORDS
American, out of New York. Crewe was owned by producer Bob
Crewe, and was the successor to his New Voice and Dyno Voice labels. It
lasted from 1969 to 1971 in its native land and registered hits over there with
the Four Seasons and Oliver. In Britain, however, it seems to have issued
only a handful of singles, all of them in 1970 and all of them unsuccessful in
terms of Chart entry. Numbering was in the CRW-0s; Manufacture and
Distribution were by Pye. Thanks to Robert Lyons For The
Info.
