Independent Cow Pie Productions label seems to have been a vehicle for productions by B. J. Cole. It issued three singles, by Cole himself, Nancy Pepper and Thom Fricker, in 1978-79, and there was also a Nancy Pepper album. The singles were marketed by United Artists, and they shared a numerical series with UA's own singles. In 1980 Cole set up the Cow Pie label, which kept the Cow Pie Productions logo but had a different label design and no connection with United Artists.
