COUNTRY BILL
RECORDS
Country Bill Records seems to
have released just one record, a single by Lee Ivey offering versions of 'How
Great Thou Art' and 'It Takes A Worried Man'; the single came out in 1979 and
each side had its own discrete catalogue number, CBR-001 and CBR-002. The
'B' side label tells us that the record was made at Forest Studios by T.
Keating. Presumably the single was privately pressed to be sold at gigs; the
labels have an agreeably 'home-made' look to them. Ivey went on to make an
album and a single for Dingles Records in 1984, in partnership with a band
called Five Cents. The album was called 'Older Women' (DIDCO-501), while
the single combined the title track and 'American Trilogy' (SID-237).
