Independent label: Countdown was a custom-recording company, one which made recordings for people who paid them to do so. To judge by the catalogue number of the Tony Marsden EP pictured above, Countdown would appear to have issued at least seven records. But it looks likely that the EP may be a one-off and that the '2007' number was not part of a series.Pressing was by Lyntone; the matrix number in the run-off, LYN-4064, gives a date of late 1976 or early 1977.
